GROUND RULES: 

1. Every contestant must show card to gain entry to the rodeo grounds.

2. Every contestant must wear wristband at all times on grounds.

3. All contestant campers/trailers must parallel park in assigned area no more than 10 - 12 feet (3.5 m) between units.

4. Only 1 pen per trailer maximum 12'x12' directly behind trailer.

5. No horses allowed in any rodeo pens.

6. No glass "No Tolerance" policy on grass in campsite.

7. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times and stay in campsites only.

8. Rough stock events (BB, SB, BR) competitors to be allowed a 2 head option regardless of number of entries.

Notes to Competitors:

BAREBACK, SADDLE BRONC. STEER WRESTLING WILL HAVE A SEPARATE ONLINE ENTRY FORM BELOW THE REGULAR ENTRY FORM JUST SCROLL DOWN TO BELOW THE REGULAR ONLINE ENTRY FORM. ENTER FOR THE SATURDAY PERF AS USUAL. 

Complimentary parking and camping for rodeo contestants. Please be respectful and park in the designated areas. Please see map. All campsites must be free of garbage and recycling before you leave.

All competitors and helpers must wear daily wrist band.

Competitors and one designated helper receive complimentary entry wrist band with fee payment. All others must purchase tickets to the performance.

Only authorized photographers are permitted in the competition area including rough stock areas, stock pens and competitor parking.

Manure: Please pick up all manure and place it in the designated location.

No Open flame/campfires or fireworks as per lease holder agreement.

Tying: No tying horses to existing perimeter fence, portable panels or construction fencing.

All dogs must be leashed at all times as per insurance requirements.

Dogs are not permitted on the spectator seating areas or beer gardens.

Dogs are not permitted in or around the competition event area 1 hour before or during the event.

Minors under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times as per the lease holder agreement.

Minors are allowed one event helper (must show wrist band) with entry. Also must be in western attire.

All competitors must wear daily competitor wrist band. One companion entry with competitor entry. All other people accompanying competiitors must purchase entry to the rodeo daily.

No spectators including competitors in or near the alleyway. No competitors or spectators sitting on the arena fencing or chutes at any time. 

Cigarettes, E-cigarettes, and/or Vapes are permitted in designated areas only.

Alcohol is not permitted in the competition areas or spectator area except inside the designated beer gardens. Marijuana is not permitted in the competition areas or spectator areas.

Drunk and disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated and will result on event disqualification.

BY EVENT PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY RULES:

ROUGH STOCK: BB, SB, SW will be 2 1 day rodeos, buckles will be awarded on the average of the 2 days.

ROUGH STOCK: Restricted area (behind the chutes, stock pens and run through alleys) to contestants and designated volunteers. Junior contestants may have one parent helper.

GRAND ENTRY: Mandatory Grand Entry meeting for selected contestants 30 mins. before performance at the timed event gate.

ALL EVENTS: If selected for sponsorship team competition, you must wear your team back patch during that day's performance (all events).

ALL EVENTS: Round winners for both slack and performance must be present immediately following the event round win for photos in full western attire.

LIMITED EVENTS: 2 head option available when registration is 6 or less for steer wrestling, calf roping, and breakaway roping.

CALF ROPING: Jerk Down rule enforced with disqualification.

JUNIOR STEER RIDING: Must wear helmet, mouth guard and vest.

BARREL RACING: Ladies run in/out. Run in/closed out for Peewee racers. Peewee racers require helmets. Peewee and Junior competitors may have one parent helper. No spectators/competitors in or near the alleyway.

GROUND RULES: AUG., 11, 12, 13

1. ALL dogs must be always on a leash due to insurance requirements.

2. Alcohol is not permitted in the competitor areas.

3. Rough stock contestants and designated volunteers must have a wrist band on to get behind the chutes.

4. Bareback, Saddle Bronc and Bulls will be 2 - one day rodeo's $1500 added per day.

5. The other events will be one 2-day rodeo.

6. Tie Down Roping will be held during slack only.

    a. For tie down roping if the calf is jerked off all 4 feet and its body touches the ground prior to the roper reaching the calf

the roper is disqualified.

    b. A second change is that the six-second rule will not be in effect (3 seconds only to remain tied.)

7. Steer Wrestling

    a. An automatic "no time" will be given to a contestant if a steer "dog falls".

    b. A steer must be on its feet before being rolled to the ground.

8. Pushing of stoc on the timed event chute:

    a. Due to the issues raised by the Vancouver Humane Society a the timed event chute, this year contestants will not be allowed to have someone push their stock.

    b. There will be a director to help the designated person who will stand in the chute to keep the animal at the front of the chute and prevent it from turning around.

    c. No one will be allowed to twist the tails or pull on the ears, or touch the stock.

    d. The only event a person may be allowed to push is in tie down roping, the arena director will determine this at  the start of the event.

9. Contestants get into the fair for free, all other companions will need to pay at the gate (adults $15; senior & youth $10 and under 9 for free).

10. Please clean up any manure, hay and garbage before leaving - use designated areas or dumpsters.

BAREBACK, SADDLE BRONC AND BULL RIDING WILL BE HANDLED AS A 2 - 1 DAY RODEO EVENTS.

USE THE ROUGH STOCK ENTRY FORM PROVIDED FOR THE 2ND DAY OF BB, SB, AND BULLS.

GROUND RULES: AUG., 11, 12, 13

1. ALL dogs must be always on a leash due to insurance requirements.

2. Alcohol is not permitted in the competitor areas.

3. Rough stock contestants and designated volunteers must have a wrist band on to get behind the chutes.

4. Bareback, Saddle Bronc and Bulls will be 2 - one day rodeo's $1500 added per day.

5. The other events will be one 2-day rodeo.

6. Tie Down Roping will be held during slack only.

    a. For tie down roping if the calf is jerked off all 4 feet and its body touches the ground prior to the roper reaching the calf

the roper is disqualified.

    b. A second change is that the six-second rule will not be in effect (3 seconds only to remain tied.)

7. Steer Wrestling

    a. An automatic "no time" will be given to a contestant if a steer "dog falls".

    b. A steer must be on its feet before being rolled to the ground.

8. Pushing of stoc on the timed event chute:

    a. Due to the issues raised by the Vancouver Humane Society a the timed event chute, this year contestants will not be allowed to have someone push their stock.

    b. There will be a director to help the designated person who will stand in the chute to keep the animal at the front of the chute and prevent it from turning around.

    c. No one will be allowed to twist the tails or pull on the ears, or touch the stock.

    d. The only event a person may be allowed to push is in tie down roping, the arena director will determine this at  the start of the event.

9. Contestants get into the fair for free, all other companions will need to pay at the gate (adults $15; senior & youth $10 and under 9 for free).

10. Please clean up any manure, hay and garbage before leaving - use designated areas or dumpsters.

~ JUNIORS AND PEE WEES WILL RECEIVE ONE COMPANION PASS.  ALL OTHER COMPANIONS MUST BUY A PASS.  ALL CONTESTANTS MUST SHOW THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD FOR ADMITTANCE INTO GROUNDS EACH DAY.  FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN HAVING TO PAY FOR A WEEKEND PASS.  WRISTBANDS WILL ALSO BE GIVEN OUT AND MUST BE WORN FOR ENTIRE WEEKEND.

* ALL STOCK DRAWS WILL BE DONE IN THE FINALS RODEO OFFICE AND POSTED OUTSIDE THE OFFICE.
